Whatever grounds you, that’s Shabbat.

For some, that ritual is sunrise kicking pavement.

Most Saturday mornings, before the weekend speeds up, I try to start with a long run. Quiet, solitary, uncaffeinated and unpaced. The same route more often than not. Time to myself. To think, to not think. To recap, to plan, to reset. At some point, it became less self-infliction and more self-care. Ritualistic, restorative, and unapologetically personal. Which, in its own way, is what Shabbat is all about.

Good Shabbos Run Co. is an extension of that rhythm. Designed for folks who’ve found rituals that ground them. For miles, or rest, sometimes both. Gear that self-expresses, spreads joy, and teases the importance of a ritual in a busy, chaotic life.

That said, the intention of GSRC is to share that ritual. Every purchase ’s profit will supports rotating catalog of philanthropies. Currently, net proceeds from every piece of gear sold will benefit youth and community fitness programs through NYRR Team for Kids. This fall, I’m running the 2026 Virtual NYC Marathon with Team for Kids. By supporting this collection, you’re helping me meet my commitment toward a guaranteed 2027 entry. It’s a natural way to make something deeply personal to me feel a little more purposeful. To give kids their own ritual, their own reason to get up, and do something that feels good.

Everyone has their own version of Shabbat. This impulse to set aside real, unhurried time; on purpose. For some, it's maybe candles, quiet, and disconnect. For others; a yoga class, a TV show, even just a glass of wine after a long week. For me and many others, it's a long run before the world wakes up. All the same idea: time set apart, just for you. Whatever your version looks like, this is for anyone who's built a ritual of their own around effort, rest, or intention.

Thanks for all the support!
